URGENT VACANCY: PRODUCT DESIGNER MATTRESS FABRICS

Our client is an international fast growing textile company, mainly
active in woven and knitted mattress ticking and interior fabrics.
Headquartered in Beselare (Belgium), the Group has a turnover of €
80 million and employs around 600 people. The Group has worldwide 5
production facilities: Belgium, Romania, Indonesia, Brazil and the
United States.

The competence centre (headquarters) for R&D and design is located in
Belgium. A local unit in Indonesia â€" coached by the Belgian team -
takes care of the more operational tasks within R&D and design.

The company has already attracted and developed some of the most
talented leaders in the textile mattress fabrics industry, people with
high level of professional ability and commercial acumen coupled with
integrity and innovation. To strengthen the existing management team,
our client seeks to hire an ambitious and career minded professional who
enjoys taking-up new challenges and able to lead and perform in a
dynamic and fast- changing environments to fill- up the vacant position:

Product Designer mattress fabrics

Principal Accountabilities and Key Result areas

- Take care of the execution of the design project on the basis
of specialized draw and design programs (CAD/CAM: EAT) from the concept
until the final design conform to the wishes of the principal (internal
/ external customer).

o creation of a new design (based on acquired designs, designs
from other units, trends, magazines, own design,…) according to the
specific demands of the customer, the request or the design manager

o setup changes of designs, inserting logo's in designs

o Input and selection of the weaves to determine the look of the
knitted or woven fabric

o Making the card-image of designs and send it to the
mill/knitting hall

o Close communication and follow-up of the new creation in
production

- Have the power to set up constructions by themselves, to
develop colours,... into the directions of the KPI's related to the
management of the SKU's.

- Is responsible to create a high and even growing success rate
of new collections, qualities, constructions, colours & designs by
continuous innovation combined with a highly commercial focus.

- Correct feeling with the worldwide market by continuous
communication with sales, customers, marketing, seminars, trend studies,
etc. in order to have the right developments on the right time at the
right place.

- Close support and cooperation with the different research
departments , in order to create new products or concepts or to realize
adaptations on existed products from his/her technical expertise.

- Keep themselves abreast of the evolutions into the trade area
of design and development, keep his/her know-how up to date in function
of the new developments in order to consolidate her/his expertise by
offering a service that is based on a continual revised knowledge.

Scope

- You report directly to the design manager mattress fabrics

Technical skills

- Strong drawing skills and artistic feeling

- Artistic education or experience

- Experience or education in textiles is a strong advantage

- Computer skills: Windows (outlook, excel, word) is a must.
CAD is most welcome.

- Good spoken and written English knowledge

Personal skills

- Autonomous but communicative

- Accurate, critical and sense for quality

- International mindset

- Commercial focus

- Sense of urgency and priority

- Fair, honest, reliable, open-minded and consequent

Qualification & Requirements:

Indonesian, Female, 32 â€" 40 years. University Degree, at least S-1
Degree in Textile Industry Management, Management, or other Science
reputable overseas or local university. Or equivalent such as Textile
Academy/ Textile Institute.

Expatriates currently working in Indonesia holding similar position in
Textile or Mattress Fabrics Manufacturing Industry are encouraged to
apply.

Minimum 8 â€" 10 years experience. Current position as Product
Designer Mattress or Textile Fabrics in textile industry with
multinational / national textile or mattress manufacturing companies.

Hands-on experience as Product Designer Mattress Fabrics of textile
manufacturing industry; excellent taste for style.

Energetic individual, strong interpersonal communication skills, strong
drive, self-starter with excellent team player skills.

Enthusiastic, commercially driven personality who can negotiate at
different level in the customer's organization.

Good spoken and written English skills is essential.

Experienced and able to operate Windows (outlook, excel, word) and CAD/
CAM: EAT applications.
